This piece of amber comes from Africa. And in a little mine that two guys spend a lot of time digging and cutting they found a chunk of amber, and added it to their “for sale” bag. I had the pleasure of meeting them in Tucson and after chatting for a while decided to see what amber would look like as a Firefly. I was not sure that amber would even work, but with a little grinding and polishing the first Amber Firefly was born. I just don’t know what to call it? I’m guessing it won’t last long when I post it to the web store, so I thought I’d put a pic up first, just so everyone can see it before it goes. It is currently the only amber Firefly, but after working with it, I’m sure I’ll be making more.
